Redemption

When an individual debtor reclaims property intended primarily for personal, family or household use, from a lien securing a dischargeable consumer debt, if the property is exempt, or has been abandoned, by paying the lien holder the amount of the allowed secured claim of the lien holder that is secured by such lien. Redemption must be a cash transaction, unless the creditor consents to a payout over time.
